Description
A black and white photograph depiciting a house built as naval quarters on Goat Island. A set of houses were built on the southern end of the island; many were identical, but the first house of the set was the largest and was different than the rest. The house pictured, possibly the latter, is shown in disrepair. It has a shingled mansard roof, clapboard siding, a long porch with a balustrade, lattice work, corbels, and a large, central gambrel-shaped dormer. Its porch is supported by carved posts.
