Description
A black and white photograph depiciting the interior of a naval manufacturing facility on Goat Island. During World Wars I and II, Goat Island served as the location of the U.S. Naval Torpedo Station. Features of the interior space include several sets of workbenches, some shelving, and a ladder. Five sets of light fixtures (seen hanging from the ceiling) run the length of the room. Sets of windows are located to the left and right; the ceiling is made of wooden planks, while the walls are made of brick.
