Description
A five-dollar banknote produced for the Rhode Island Union Bank. Note includes engravings of an American Indian surrounded by a dog and a horse, and angelic figures holding an anchor emblem. Printed and handwritten text on note reads: "THE RHODE ISLAND UNION BANK/Will pay Five Dollars on demand to/Wm Crooke or bearer. NEWPORT June 1 1860." The note is signed by two additional people.
