Sheer muslin undersleeves with eyelet cutwork and embroidery on the cuff. Large leaf-like motif embroidered in center ow eyelet. Edges finished or partially finished. Undersleeves became popular in the 1840s. Attached tag on A 'Needlework [cuffs] mid 19th cent, D233A'. Attached tag on B 'Needlework [cuffs] mid 19th cent, D233B'. Both tags removed and stored with objects because they created holes.
