Description
Small shoes said to have belonged to Tom Thumb, 4-3/4" long flat shoe. Black leather toe and lower heel, rest of the shoe is of the shoe of cream colored linen with a brass button. These shoes are said to be Tom Thumb's wedding shoes. They were found in a vatrine with what are said to be Mrs. Thumb's wedding shoes (99.3.170 AB) and three photographs. One of Mrs. Thumb, one of 'General Tom Thumb and wife' gift of Miss Susan Franklin, May 23, 1944. Another photo is of the 'fairy wedding group' Mr. and Mrs. Thumb on their wedding day with two other people, also a gift of Miss Susan Franklin, May 23, 1944. "Mrs. W.S. Crocker" is written inside one of the shoes.
