Clear glass cup plate 3 3/4" in diameter; 1/2" ribbed border. Center of plate is smooth with ribs underneath and forming a circle in the center. Hand written note found with plate reads 'Great Grandmother Chase had this plate when she first went housekeeping in 1826. Grandma gave it to me on April 28, 1911 - Ruth G. Duby'. On back of this slip of paper written in ink 'Auntie Ruth gave this dish to me Aug. 13, 1972 - Dorothy M. Sacrey'. Ruth Lawton Chase gave plate to her daughter Annie Chase Manchester who gave it to her granddaughter Ruth G. Duby who gave it to her neice Dorothy M. Friend Sacrey.
