Bodice (a) and skirt (b) of printed silk. Cream colored ground with printed blue, purple, and yellow flowers and green foliage and woven circular design. S curve patterned lace inserts on front and back of bodice and sleeves. Sleeves trimmed in dotted tulle. Bodice lined in two layers of tin silk. Relatively short pieces of boning (some as small as 2 1/2 in.) in bodice and 1 3/8 inch petersham. Bodice has slight pouching indicating a date closer to 1900. Skirt has 10 in. wide ruffle on hem with extensive gathering. Skirt opens in front with extra fabric in back for a train.
