Description
Small top-opening envelope containing 6 round Newport Bridge tokens with raised letters, colored flat centers, one each of red, blue, yellow, green; 2 aluminum tokens with raised centers. Tokens were issued originally 1969-[1980] in envelopes, then in paper rolls. The aluminum tokens are the original ones used. Tokens with colored centers were issued when the bridge opened for free passage for police, fire, employees, etc. Tokens given to Henry Curtis when the bridge opened by John Canning, head of bridge authority, "for Henry's collection of trivia".
