Description
Pillbox of mother-of-pearl inlaid with dark metal (possibly silver?) In swirl designs and apparent military objects (i.e. "medieval" - type javelins and horns) on top; bottom has plant design; inside top is mirror, bottom is gold foil. Attached tag reads, "Gift of Polish General Kosciusko, who came to America in 1777 and fought in the Revolution, to George Champlain Mason, who was born Nov. 23, 1794, died Dec. 20, 1843, son of Dr. Benjamin Mason and Peggy Champlin Mason.
