Portrait of Mrs. Sarah Congdon Hazard. Head tilted to the right; black hair pulled back, big brown eyes, blue-green dress with white lace collar. Gold chain necklace wrapped three times and black pin above buttons on dress. Subject was the wife of Captain Louis Ludlum Hazard of the Clipper ship "Radiant." Painted in China from a daguerreotype.
