He has reddish brown hair with large sideburns, and brown eyes. He sits in a red chair and leans his arm on a table with a red tablecloth. A small sword rests next to him; the hilt can be seen. Behind him are red and green curtains with gold tassels. A landscape can be seen out the window behind him, featuring a domed building. The frame is painted gold and has carved seashells in the corners. Subject was member of the Congress from Rhode Island.
