Set, Cup and Saucer

Saucer is white with gold around rim, two gold rings in center and "Capt. Hazard" written in gold in the center. Cup is white with gold around inner rim and thin gold ring below; handle has indentations for fingers, outlined in gold; has painting of "Lancashire" on front of cup: 3 tall masts, all with full sail, green water, pink and blue sky with some clouds, American flag with 13 stars at bow facing backwards, whole picture outlined in gold. Tag on bottom of saucer: Cup and saucer presented to Capt. Lewis Ludlum Hazard in London. Gift of his daughter Miss Louise H. Hazard, Peacedale, RI, Dec. 1935. Donor is daughter of Capt. Lewis L. Hazard. The cup was presented to Capt. Lewis L. Hazard in London. Hazard went down with his ship the Radiant en route from Calcutta to New York in 1876.
