Portrait of David King (1812-1882). Bust-length portrait, subject faces to right, wears black jacket and tie with high stock collar; grey hair and balding pate; brown eyes, slight smile. Portrait is copy of the painting by Staigg, original is at Redwood Library. Subject is the first president of the Newport Historical Society in 1853-1882. (See #40.2.1)
