Description
Photograph of the largest timber ever bough to Newport, a 60 feet x 18 x 18 inches purchased by J.T. O'Connell for the Training Station. Photograph taken outside the Ship Chandlery store on Thames Street, and nine workers are standing on the beam of tinder, still hooked up to a truck. Amongst these men are Bob Windham, Charlie White, Jim Gabren, Frank Wanthug, and Mr. Kelly.
