Photograph of Arch Avenue, also known as the "Archway," located on the west side of Thames Street and the south of the Brick Market. Address 145 was the ladies furnishing shop of Miss Mollie B. Lappin, and Edward Griffith's fish and oyster market flanked the southern side of the arch. This picture was taken in 1889. I man is posing in the doorway of Edward Giffith's shop, and there are two children leaning on the window looking towards the camera at the shop next to him.
