Description
Photograph of a parade of Girl Scouts heading down the West side of Thames Street at the Long Wharf approximately 1922. There are roughly 35 girls marching with 4 leaders. There are three sections of girls, each holding their own flag. Their uniform is a jacket, long skirt, a tie, and a hat. There are more troops marching in the far background of the photograph. Pedestrians are lined up on either side of the street, completely filling the sidewalk watching the parade. The business Old City Hall Hardware Co. is visible. There are two automobiles parked outside the business and behind the pedestrians. Parade viewers are a mix of men, women, and children, and there are police officers stationed every few yards down the street acting as crowd control.
