David Mills purchased 40 enslaved people from Captain Nathaniel Briggs, paid a partial sum totalling 30 of the enslaved people to Aaron Lopez and Jacob Roderick Rivera by Captain William English, and promised to pay for the remaining 10 as soon as possible.
