A record written by Henry Bonnin addressed to George Goulding, Peter Bours, and George Scott reporting of the sale of 104 enslaved people from the Brig Merigold, under the command of Captain Thomas Teakle Taylor, over a 3 day period with 95 enslaved people sold on the first day, 7 on the second day, and 2 additional enslaved boys on the third. Each sold for an average of 30 pounds, 1 shilling, with the exception of 4 small children who sold for less. The record then reports the sale of 15 enslaved people at 19 pounds each to be paid for the next year, and finally the anticipated sale of 10 enslaved people to Captain Taylor.
