Description
Minutes from a meeting of the Committee of the African Union Society on October 6, 1791, at which the Committee ordered one pistareen be taken from the Treasury to purchase 2 tickets in the Second Congregational Lottery. Congo Jenkins appeared before the Committee and requested all his contributions to the Treasury be given to John Greene, and all committeemen except Greene objected. The Committee ruled that no member can withdraw from the Society and take all their contributions. Committee also ordered John Greene and Zingo Stevens urge all members with unpaid dues to pay as soon as possible.
