Signage painted on the buildings reads: "Ship Chandlery/Hardware/Builders/Plumbers/Steamfitters/Lumber/Brick/Cement". Photograph was most likely taken before 1931 or 1932, when a fire destroyed the middle section of the buildings (according to note on reverse).
