Photograph of the Governor Henry Bull House formerly located on Spring Street near Bull Street and Broadway in Newport, Rhode Island. In the forefront of the photograph, there are several people lining up to begin the workday. The house dates back to 1634 and was home to early colonial governor of Rhode Island, Henry Bull (1610-1694). The street in front of the house has some cobblestones but is dirt for the most part. In the background of the photograph, there is a store front advertising "Blacksmiths and Carriage Makers." The Bull House burned down on December 29, 1912.
