Undated photograph of a man with a cane standing in front of a statue of two soldiers in Congdon Park, near Equality Park in Newport, RI. A dedication on the pediment reads: "Erected by Charles E. Lawton Post No.5 GAR and citizens of Newport, 1890. In memory of the men who fought for their flag, that the nation might live." A cannon is positioned in front of the statue. A portion of 200 Broadway is in view in the background.
