Description
A copy of a letter, possibly on photographic albumen paper, from William T. Sherman to the Governor of Louisiana, Thomas O. Moore. In the letter, Sherman states his allegiance to the United States, and writes of his intention to resign from his position at the Louisiana State Seminary of Learning and Military Academy should Louisiana secede from the Union. Original letter was probably written between 1860-1861.
