Description
Cream colored Faille waistcoat. Two welt pockets on each side, for a total of four pockets. Four self-covered buttons down the front. Plain weave, coarser fabric on back. Lined with very tightly woven plain weave cellulosic. Mock lapels. Machine stitched. See Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession No. 1978.477.30 for comparison. 
"[157.5] J.A.S." written on back of waistcoat cinch. [...] indicates spelling is uncertain. "5 1/2" and "4" written in pencil on PL back.
