Description
Bodice of two piece wedding dress worn by Eunice McCormick Conron on 23 September 1931 as seen in 2009.36.P9562 and 2009.36.P9564. Fashion fabric of woven foliate meanders on a satin ground. Bodice lined with cotton and boned with material that resembles tortoise shell. Sleeves come to points and are trimmed with embroidered fine netting. Sleeves on shoulders and upper arms embellished with series of overlapping 1/2 in. pleats. Large bow of cream colored satin ribbon 4 3/4 in. wide attached to lower back of bodice. Tails of bow up to 39 in. long. Skirt "b" has extensive train.
