Black petticoat with a moire-like finish. Tiered ruffles around the hem. Outermost layer is flounced lace with a floral pattern. The lace varies in width from 12 1/2 in. to 7 3/4 in. Second layer is a sheer fabric with 1/8 in. wide satin ribbons sewn in parallel rows 3/8 in. apart. The bottom layer is 3 in. wide cartridge pleated black fabric. 3/4 in. braid sewn under moire-patterned fabric. Additional pinked and scalloped ruffle 3 3/4 in. wide sewn under moire. Green "x" sewn onto waistband. Closure of one metal hook and eye and four additional hooks with thread eyes. Mix of machine and hand stitches.
