Description
Small silver cup made by Samuel Vernon of Newport, his mark, the initials "SV" inside a small heart, can be seen on the right side of the cup's handle. The cup opens slightly wider at the mouth with a clean edge. The bottom is decorated with a ring of four ridges. The handle of the cup is in an "S" shape, it appears to have been reattached at some point. It is engraved along the bottom "AE to MB to LLD to CTB." The engravings are in different fonts and were done over time.
