A set of scale and weights in a wooden box. The box has a hook and eye latch with a heart pattern etched into the lid. The double-pan balance scale is made of metal disks connected to a main stem. Four metal weights are included. There are also four wooden pieces in the box that were either used in scale set up or as weights. The inside lid of the box is a hadwritten chart of weights and equivalents. This is possibly an apothecary scale.
