Minutes from a meeting of the African Union Society convened at the house of Quam Bowers on December 11, 1800. Zingo Stevens brought the number of the ticket the Society purchased in the First Congregational Lottery but, upon examination, found it to be blank. Phebe Benson requested 10 dollars to purchase wood, and the Society agreed to loan her the money. The fine against Abraham Casey from October 9 was revoked. Present at the meeting: Charles Chaloner, Ceasar Gardner, Cudjo Gibbs, Newport Gardner, Abraham Casey, Zingo Stevens, Quam Bowers, Ceasar Wanton, Prince Gardner, and Cuffee Mumford. Absent: Cuffee Benson.
