DescriptionMinutes from a meeting of the African Union Society on March 4, 1795, at which the secretary Newport Gardner presented an accounting of monies paid into the Treasury and Society expenses. Minutes also include calculation dividing remaining funds among 28 members, granting each approximately 1 dollar and 9 cents. Includes a note of funds "lost and dead with the Society which they will never get." Society voted unanimously to give thanks to Newport Gardner for service as secretary.
