Minutes from a meeting of the African Union Society on March 4, 1795, at which the secretary Newport Gardner presented an accounting of monies paid into the Treasury and Society expenses. Minutes include a record of total contributions from the members and money lost through lottery and other expenses. Minutes also include calculation dividing remaining funds among 28 members, granting each approximately 1 dollar and 9 cents. Includes a note of funds "lost and dead with the Society which they will never get." Society voted unanimously to give thanks to Newport Gardner for service as secretary.
