DescriptionMinutes from a meeting of the Committee of the African Union Society on April 4, 1793, at which Primus Thurston requested payment for nursing the late Quaco Rivera while he was sick. Minutes mention Abraham Rivera, son and heir of Jacob Rodrigues Rivera, refused to pay the account. Committee ordered Treasury to pay 5 shillings and 3 pence being the balance due to Quaco Rivera after deducting "all charges heretofore accrued to the surviving members of the said African Union Society."
