Minutes from a meeting of the Committee of the African Union Society on December 13, 1792, at which Newport Gardner moved to institute a rule that all laws enacted must be signed by the Society's president, vice president, or another member granted the power to do so, and that said rule should be recorded in the Rules and Regulations. Minutes also include a note that, at the request of some Society members, Zingo Stevens altered the small pall for carrying infant children and an order to pay Stevens 1 shilling and 9 pence silver from the Pall & Bier Company's treasury.
