Silver ladle, inscribed "ECM" on handle. "ECM" was Elizabeth Champlin Mason. This was wedding silver of Elizabeth Champlin Mason and Oliver Hazard Perry. Stamped on verso: "WSM and Nichols".


Previously cataloged as a silver pencil w/ ring at the top; attached to the pencil is a chain w/ a latch hook. According to accession information, this could possibly be a mold for kitting sheath.


Porringer with engraved initials in script on handle: "JMB". "NICHOLS" enclosed in a square on handle and bottom.

Two Salt Spoons with engraved initials: "EBJ" in script, handle end is an elongated rectangle. "Nichols" enclosed in a rectangle. Belonged to Edward and Bathsheba Tayer, married October 7, 1798.


One large serving spoon, engraving with "WEH" on the handle. On the back side it is stamped, "Nichols", "Pure Coin", and "Newport, RI."


The half shell is brown and white. The silver lid has a scalloped edge along the shell. Box is egg shaped. Lid has decorative etchings along the edges.


One coin silver teaspoon by Nichols of Newport, RI. There is an engraving on the handle of the spoon and it is stamped "Nichols" on the reverse.
