Photographic print showing a detail of the 18th century murals in the northwest room of the Vernon House, 46 Clarke Street. The murals feature scenes of Chinese life; this detail shows a depiction of a man impaled on a spike. The mural is partially obscured by wooden planks. 'Defender Safety Base' can be read along the bottom edge of the photograph.
