Long format; floral border and patterns; three alphabet sequences; floral center; good verse; stitches: eyelet and queen; verse reads: "It is no wonder that men turn to clay when rocks and stones and monuments decay/ Sarah Baley her sampler made in the 11 year of her age 1738" Daughter of Samuel And Alice Baley, B. 1727, Middletown.
