Letter thanks Henry Steward for bringing awareness of the Free African Society to the attention of the African Union Society in Newport, quotes Anthony Taylor's open letter to all freed Africans in Rhode Island, and lists correspondence traded between the Union Society at Newport and other parties, including William Thornton and the Union Society at Providence.
